Meet my piano studio! My private lessons consist of learning new
repetoire, technique, music theory, ear training, stage presence, and more. These many aspects of music help my students become well-rounded musicians.
Below is a short description of each student with a video of their favorite performance! These star students all work very hard and practice many times a week.
This is our first student recital since the pandemic of 2020. I am so grateful to be able to host the event in person!
Meet Leland! Leland was my very first student. I started teaching him when he was eight years old. Now, he's entering 6th grade! Leland is a very smart and hard worker. In his free time, Leland enjoys taking care of his dog Cheyenne and playing video games. When he practices, he always has an audience of stuffed animals who enjoy his music.
Meet Kenneth! Kenneth is the newest student in the studio. He started piano this March, and although he hasn't had an in-person
lesson with me yet, he is playing through his pieces with flying colors! Thanks to his hard work and supportive parents, Kenneth is already growing to be a strong musician. He will be entering
kindergarten, although he sounds like a mature third grader! Besides piano, Kenneth enjoys spending time with his sister Cheryl, playing with cars, and building Legos.
In this video, Kenneth is performing three pieces: Forest Drums, Lightly Row, and Sleeping Beauty Waltz.
Meet Allie! Allie is currently in 5th grade. Allie and Aria are sisters! Allie is also a quick learner, and is great at listening and keeping a good attitude in class. Besides practicing piano, Allie spends her free time playing with her sister, reading, and also taking care of her dog. Fun fact: Both Allie and Aria's aunt is famous Masterchef Winner Christine Ha, who won in the show's third season.
Meet Lukas! Lukas is in the 7th grade. He has been learning piano with me for two years. He is a quick learner and has a great grasp on rhythm and ear training. Besides piano, Lukas is also talented in cooking and riding the ripstick. He also enjoys playing with his friends and eating yummy food.
Meet Cheryl! Cheryl is a sixth grade musician. She is an excellent listener and extremely hard worker. Every lesson, she comes prepared to show me her weekly accomplishments. Over the summer, she has been able to progress very quickly through the material. She is a multi-talented musician as well: well versed in the drum set and guitar! Outside of piano, Cheryl enjoys reading novels, drawing, uploading videos on her YouTube channel, and playing on the computer. In this video, she is performing Diabelli: Sonatina Op. 168 No. 3 in C Major. You can check out her YouTube channel here!
Meet Aria! Aria is currently in 3rd grade. She is a quick learner and always makes sure that she practices her pieces seven or eight times each. During lessons, she is very humorous and enjoys having fun. In her free time, Aria enjoys watching Disney movies, playing with Legos, and taking good care of hey dog Max.
Meet Sridhar! Sridhar is an energetic and bright 3rd grader. He has a great passion for science, and loves to share his knowledge of planets and animals with me. His favorite animals are the crocodile, eagle, and tiger. Sridhar also loves to participate in his school's talent shows. He's always thinking of pieces to premiere at his school! When Sridhar isn't practicing, he enjoys watching TV, playing video games, and reading.
